Offered Specialties

Microbiology

Microbiology studies pathogenic microorganisms, identifying infectious agents and analyzing their resistance mechanisms to determine the most effective medication for treating diseases.

Immunohematology

Immunohematology studies antigens in red blood cells and circulating antibodies, being essential in transfusion medicine, hemotherapy, and the diagnosis of neonatal diseases.

Hematology

Hematology evaluates blood diseases and hematopoietic organ conditions, assisting in the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions such as anemias and leukemias.

Biochemistry

Biochemistry analyzes chemical processes in the human body, aiding in the assessment of specific organ functions and the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules.

Urinalysis

Urinalysis examines urine through physical, chemical, and microscopic analyses, identifying changes that may occur in the urinary system.

Immunology

Immunology studies the immune system and its conditions, focusing on the defense cells that protect against viruses, bacteria, fungi, and other invaders, assisting in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases and others.

Parasitology

Parasitology identifies the presence of parasites, such as trophozoites, cysts, eggs, and adult worms (larvae) of protozoa and helminths, assisting in the diagnosis of parasitic infections.

Coagulation

Coagulation evaluates the chemical reactions that lead to clot formation, analyzes hemostasis, and monitors patients on anticoagulants.

Toxicology

Toxicology assesses the presence of psychoactive chemical substances in biological materials, such as hair, fur, serum, and urine, as well as analyzes exposure to chemical compounds and intoxications, especially in occupational health.

Hormones

Hormonal dosage is used to prevent and identify physiological disorders.
