Communication: Tools, Public Speaking, and Communication Resources

COURSE

In-person

Target Audience

The course meets the expectations of all professionals who wish to communicate effectively. Students preparing for presentations, thesis defenses, and dissertations. Justification

The course provides participants with the development of communication tools (written – mobile type – radio/tv – internet). Communication is not merely a tool developed by the human mind; it is THE tool that enabled and optimized all others. In this context, the course enhances participants' ability to communicate, structure thoughts for effective presentation or defense without fear of exaggeration. Whether in thesis or dissertation defenses, academic presentations, teaching, participating in interviews, or everyday communication.

General Objective

To equip participants to structure a presentation from the main idea (central idea that gives purpose to the lecture/exposition) to the moment of the actual presentation (the oratory itself).

Specific Objectives

  • Develop an insight that you wish to present as the central idea
  • Convert this central idea into a script, structuring it with an introduction, development, and conclusion
  • Create a presentation that adequately explores the phases of discourse, using each part of the script to engage and achieve results with the audience
  • Build an organic presentation that encompasses body language, voice, and supporting resources when relevant
  • Ensure what to "say" and "how" to say it
